From March 29 to 31, ALTOMINHO DIGITAL MINDS 2019 will take place at the Arcos de Valdevez Exhibition Center. This event will bring together some of the most prominent figures in Portugal today in the fields of social media, gaming, and influencers.
As an event partner, dstelecom will support one of the first events in Portugal with a 1 Gbps symmetrical connection (1 Gb/1 Gb), where waiting times will be virtually nonexistent and high-speed download and upload are guaranteed.
The event is primarily aimed at a younger audience seeking closer contact with their digital idols, but also at educators, with the goal of promoting a more transformative, inclusive, and talent-driven school model. It also targets specialists—including sociologists, psychologists, scientists, entrepreneurs, and professionals linked to digital marketing and communication—who wish to deepen their knowledge.
In this context, ALTOMINHO DIGITAL MINDS 2019 is structured around three main pillars:
-
Educational Forum – training sessions and workshops for teachers, students, and the general public;
-
Science, Technology, and Digital Content Fair/Exhibition;
-
YouTubers and Gaming Area – a reality to be explored.
With around 30 guests, the initiative features well-known names such as Angie Costa (YouTuber), Inês Guimarães (YouTuber), Beatriz Costa (YouTuber), Sir Kazzio (YouTuber), João Seabra (Comedian), Governo Sombra (Entertainment), João Moura (Head of Digital Marketing at the Portuguese Public Security Police – PSP), Joana Amaral Dias (Psychologist/Writer), Ricardo “Fox” Pacheco (Professional Esports Player), João Ferreira (International Esports Photographer), among many others.
Schools, digital technology companies, and local partners are involved, as well as the Portuguese Ministry of Education, through the Secretary of State and the Directorate-General for Education / ERTE.
Some initiatives offer free admission, including the Fair/Exhibition, Pedro Gonçalves’ Concert, Governo Sombra, and João Seabra’s Stand-Up Comedy.
