dstelecom has reinforced its fiber-optic network in the municipality of Paredes de Coura, in the district of Viana do Castelo, ensuring coverage of 98% of the municipality, totaling approximately 6,400 homes.
From now on, all parishes in the municipality have access to broadband services, benefiting from higher speeds, greater bandwidth, improved coverage, and superior quality—thus eliminating barriers of time and distance through the digital highway.
Overall, dstelecom is launching fiber-optic coverage in Agualonga, Coura, Cunha, Romarigães, Rubiães, Vascões, and in the Union of the Parishes of Cossourado and Linhares, covering around 2,200 homes. Meanwhile, Castanheira, Infesta, the Union of the Parishes of Bico and Cristelo, the Union of the Parishes of Formariz and Ferreira, the Union of the Parishes of Insalde and Porreiras, and the Union of the Parishes of Paredes de Coura and Resende were subject to network reinforcement, adding coverage to an additional 1,100 homes.
According to dstelecom, this expansion—aligned with its mission to bring fiber-optic connectivity to areas with lower population density—contributes not only to population retention but also to the creation of new opportunities for the region, becoming a driver of attraction and increasing economic and social benefits.
