[Fiber changed my life] Today we bring you the testimony of João, a designer who works from northern Brazil for a company in the United States.
Recently, he made the decision to return to Soajo, in Arcos de Valdevez, his hometown, to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and embrace a more tranquil and balanced life.
Thanks to fiber optics, João found a place where he can combine his international career with the quality of life he has always sought. “These web projects clearly demand more from the network, and I can achieve no signal loss or loss of quality when I’m working for the other side of the Atlantic,” he says.
👉 Watch the testimonial to learn about all the advantages our digital highway has brought to João’s life.

ABOUT DSTELECOM
dstelecom was founded in 2008 with the mission of eliminating geographical barriers and allowing all Portuguese people – from the coast to the interior – to have the same opportunity to interact with the world through the most modern communication networks. To this end, it built, operates, and maintains the first and largest multi-operator fiber optic network in Europe, in the areas with the greatest digital needs in Portugal.
Today, its digital highway passes through 149 municipalities across the country, totaling almost one million covered homes, and the main telecommunications operators in the country make their services available to the end consumer through this fiber optic network.
