Innovation is part of our DNA. We are restless by nature and always want to go further. With this in mind, on 10 February we were at the University of Minho, together with Proef, evaluating possible partnerships in strategic projects of high interest for the development of the region, the country and businesses. This working meeting featured presentations from various areas of activity, such as virtualised networks and edge computing, as well as discussions on topics related to the teaching of innovation in the field of telecommunications.
We would like to remind you that, with the aim of strengthening our commitment to the multidimensional nature of innovation, an innovative partnership programme was launched in 2018 between dstelecom, Proef and the University of Minho, whose main objective is to promote the transfer of knowledge and technologies from academia to business. This protocol focuses mainly on research into sustainable telecommunications networks for the digital society of the future and seeks to exploit synergies from cooperation between companies in the sector and the academic world.
