dstelecom reinforces fiber optic network coverage in the county

dstelecom has just extended its fiber optic network to the town of Torrão, in Alcácer do Sal, with a view to ensuring that families in this parish can have broadband service, benefiting from more speed, greater bandwidth and better quality .

In addition to Torrão, dstelecom's digital highway also covers the Union of the parishes of Alcácer do Sal (Santa Maria do Castelo and Santiago) and Santa Susana, in a total of more than 5,800 houses.

According to dstelecom, this expansion, in line with the purpose of taking fiber optics to locations with lower population density, contributes not only to the fixation of the population, but also to the creation of new opportunities for the region, becoming a motive attraction and thus increasing economic and social benefits.

According to Vítor Proença, Mayor of Alcácer do Sal, "the Municipality has made a strong contribution to this advance, both from a material and logistical point of view."
