For the second consecutive year, Great Place To Work has recognised companies with the best wellbeing practices. The Best Workplaces in Wellbeing are the result of a study that listened to the opinions of employees at more than 250 companies – while less than half of company employees experience a psychologically and emotionally healthy work environment, for 87% of employees at the Best Workplaces in Wellbeing, this is already a reality.
This year's edition distinguishes organisations from 10 different sectors, including Information Technology, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, Hospitality & Tourism, Finance & Insurance, as well as companies in the Construction, Property Management, Health, Elderly Care, Telecommunications and Transport sectors.
To be included in this list, companies must first be certified as a Great Place To Work. After this initial achievement, based on direct feedback from employees, 18 statements related to wellbeing are considered, complemented by an assessment of internal policies and practices that promote health and quality of life at work.
The results obtained in the Great Place To Work study ‘Best Workplaces for Wellbeing’ highlight the efforts that organisations have made, through their policies and practices and the behaviour of their leadership, to promote a working environment that fosters physical and emotional health. The data shows that organisations that prioritise wellbeing consistently achieve superior performance, effectively creating a positive cycle. The Best Workplaces in Wellbeing have higher levels of productivity (+35 percentage points), retention (+26 percentage points) and organisational agility (+32 percentage points) when compared to the national average. This is associated with a higher number of recommendations (37 percentage points) and higher quality customer service (31 percentage points). The evidence is clear: investing in wellbeing is not only good for employees, it is good for business success.
