dstelecom brings fiber optics to four new locations in Armamar

NETWORK EXPANSION WILL BE COMPLETED IN APRIL AND WILL BRING FIBER TO OVER 4,000 FAMILIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY

dstelecom is expanding its multi-operator fiber optic network in the municipality of Armamar, which will allow the parishes of Folgosa, Santa Cruz, São Romão and Vacalar to have access to high-speed internet. This project, which will be completed this April, represents an important step forward for these locations, which until now did not have this infrastructure.

With this initiative, around 800 new homes will be covered by the dstelecom network. In total, more than 4,000 families in the municipality will be able to enjoy a fast and stable internet connection, comparable to that available in large urban centers.

“We believe that digital connectivity is an essential factor for local development. With this expansion, we want to ensure that more people have access to a quality service, promoting inclusion and new opportunities for the population,” says Ricardo Salgado, CEO of dstelecom.

In addition to improving connection speed and stability, dstelecom's multi-operator network allows Armamar residents to choose between the main operators operating in Portugal, promoting competition and ensuring better prices and greater diversity of services.

Interested parties can check network coverage in their area by indicating the address or reference point via email euquerofibra@dstelecom.pt or the free number 800 910 660. dstelecom has been operating in the municipality since 2014, having strengthened its presence over the years. The company manages the largest multi-operator fiber optic network in Europe, present in 149 municipalities and serving nearly 1 million homes, with a special focus on regions with the greatest digital needs.

This investment reinforces dstelecom's commitment to digital inclusion and technological development in the regions, ensuring that, regardless of location, all communities have access to the same opportunities in the digital universe.
