With this network reinforcement in about 1,200 homes, the people of Pesqueira will be able to contract telecommunications services with more speed, greater bandwidth, better coverage and higher quality.

Until August, dstelecom's optical fiber will reach 5,000 families in São João da Pesqueira. According to the statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto, this will be a reinforcement of the network in around 1,200 homes that takes place during the month of July.

According to the same note, with this reinforcement, which will take place in the Union of the parishes of Trevões and Espinhosa, in the Union of the parishes of Vilarouco and Pereiros, in Vale de Figueira and in Valongo dos Azeites, the people will be able to contract services of telecommunications with more speed, higher bandwidth, better coverage and higher quality.

According to dstelecom, this expansion, in line with the purpose of taking fiber optics to locations with less population density, contributes not only to the settlement of the population, but also to the creation of new opportunities for the Douro region, becoming a reason of attraction and thus increasing economic and social benefits, the document reads.

It should be noted that dstelecom is a telecommunications operator responsible for the construction and management of the first and largest multi-operator FTTH fiber optic network in Europe, available to all telecommunications operators.
