Until October of this year, a total of around 16 thousand families in Arcos de Valdevez will have the opportunity to take advantage of the optical fiber network, subscribing, together with their operator, to the telecommunications service that suits them best. This expansion will reach about 90% of the county.
According to the note sent to Notícias ao Minuto, families in the municipality will be able to contract telecommunications services with greater speed, greater bandwidth, better coverage and higher quality.
"The municipality is committed to expanding the fiber optic and telecommunications network so that it is possible to bring new technologies to more people, and, consequently, achieve more development in the municipality, as well as create more opportunities for those who live, work and invest here. Information technologies bring us closer and help us to secure and attract people, and to create and attract investment to Arcos de Valdevez”, reveals the Mayor, João Esteves.
