Tabuaço is preparing to achieve almost total fiber optic coverage, with dstelecom expanding the network to more than two thousand new homes.

The plan provides for the connection of around 2,200 new homes to state-of-the-art broadband services and extends to 11 locations that did not yet have coverage: Arcos, Desejosa, Granja do Tedo, Longa, Sendim, the Union of Parishes of Paradela and Granjinha, the Union of Parishes of Pinheiros and Vale de Figueira, and the Union of Parishes of Távora and Pereiro. In total, around 4,600 families will be covered by the company's fiber network, representing a coverage rate of 97% in the municipality.

Dstelecom's fiber optic network allows residents to choose between the main operators operating in Portugal, which facilitates the adaptation of solutions to the needs of each user and promotes competition in terms of conditions and prices. The company, which has been present in the municipality since 2014, has maintained a strategy focused on expanding the fiber optic infrastructure in areas with less technological access, with the aim of promoting digital inclusion and stimulating local development.
