dstelecom announced that the optical fiber will reach more than five thousand homes in the municipality of Cadaval by the end of the third quarter of this year.

This month, more than 3,200 homes will be able to enjoy telecommunications services with greater bandwidth, benefiting from more speed, better coverage and better quality, in the locations of Alguber, Cercal, Figueiros, Lamas, Painho and Peral. The wholesale telecommunications operator also informed that, by the end of September, the digital highway will reach another 2,100 homes. dstelecom will cover 97% of the homes that did not yet have access to the latest generation of broadband services. This expansion is in line with the purpose of bringing fiber optics to areas of the country where there is a greater need at the digital level, and may contribute not only to retaining the population, but also to creating new opportunities for the region.

As all operators operating in Portugal make their services available to the final consumer through this fiber optic network, citizens will have freedom of choice in subscribing to television, internet and telephone packages.

José Bernardo Nunes, Mayor of Cadaval, stated that “it is from the perspective of promoting equality in access to technology that we must work, so that Cadaval is increasingly recognized as a municipality that offers people quality of life and good conditions for personal and family development”.
