dstelecom has just increased the capacity of its multi-operator fiber optic network in Gondomar, now covering the towns of Covelo, Foz do Sousa, Medas and Melres.

With this reinforcement, a total of 5,500 homes will be able to contract telecoms services with greater speed, bandwidth, coverage and quality.

The company says that the aim of this extension is not only to help the population settle, but also to create new opportunities for the area, thus increasing the economic and social benefits.

It should be remembered that dstelecom operates and maintains the first and largest multi-operator fibre optic network in Europe, where the main telecommunications operators operating in Portugal are customers of the network and, through it, make their services available to the end consumer.

Gondomar residents in these parishes can now check the availability of fibre coverage, indicating their address and, ideally, GPS coordinate or reference point, by emailing euquerofibra@dstelecom.pt or calling 800 910 660.
