dstelecom, which is a wholesale telecommunications operator, is in Abrantes to ensure that its fiber optic network reaches more than 6,000 families by the end of August this year.
At this time, the company reveals that its fiber optic network reaches Mouriscas, the Union of the parishes of Alvega and Concavada and the Union of the parishes of São Facundo and Vale das Mós, in a total of about 3,500 homes. The company expects that by the end of August it will be able to extend its network to over 2,700 homes throughout the north of the municipality of Abrantes, namely Carvalhal, Fontes, Martinchel and União of the parishes of Aldeia do Mato e Souto, improving access in Mouriscas, in the Union of the parishes of Alvega and Concavada and also in the Union of the parishes of São Facundo and Vale das Mós.
According to dstelecom, there are more than 6,000 homes in the municipality of Abrantes that will have, until August, conditions to be able to hire telecommunication services with more speed, greater bandwidth, better coverage and higher quality.
The company also offers the possibility for any citizen to check the availability of fiber coverage in their area by accessing dstelecom.pt/rede-e-cobertura.
According to dstelecom, this expansion, in line with the purpose of bringing optical fiber to locations with lower population density, contributes not only to the establishment of the population, but also to the creation of new opportunities for the Ribatejo region, making it attraction and thus increasing the economic and social benefits.
It is recalled that dstelecom is a wholesale telecommunications operator responsible for building and managing the first and largest multi-operator FTTH fiber optic network in Europe, available to all telecommunications operators.
