At dstelecom, we recognize the importance of encouraging education and environmental awareness among the younger generations. With this in mind, we were pleased to support the visit of 4th grade students from the Castro Verde School Group to the Gerês Biosphere Reserve, which took place last month.

In 2017, the municipality of Castro Verde was classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, a distinction that recognizes the importance of conservation and sustainability in the region. As a result, the students now have the subject "Biosphere", which allows them to deepen their knowledge of the environment and the urgent need for its preservation.

The visit was attended by nearly 50 students and provided a unique learning experience outside the classroom. All the objectives were achieved and it resulted in a huge exchange of experiences, knowledge and values, which will certainly remain etched in the memories of all these children.

We are proud of this initiative and reaffirm our commitment to the well-being and sustainable development of the communities in which we operate. Together, we can build a better, greener and more conscious future!
