ESG: dstelecom certified for sustainable procurement

dstelecom has taken another decisive step forward in its mission to promote responsible business practices by achieving ISO 20400:2017 international certification.

This standard provides guidelines for integrating sustainability into procurement processes, ensuring that organizations adopt responsible and transparent practices. This recognition proves our commitment to ensuring that the entire life cycle of our materials and services generates a positive environmental, social and economic impact.

Ricardo Salgado, CEO of dstelecom, highlights the importance of this achievement: “This certification is a reflection of our commitment to integrating sustainability into every decision we make. We want our business activities to be synonymous with responsibility, efficiency and positive impact, contributing to a more sustainable and just future.”

With this vision in mind, we have been adopting policies and actions that are in line with international and national strategies for sustainable development in a wide range of areas. These initiatives cover a range of factors, from reducing the carbon footprint and efficient waste management, to including social responsibility and governance criteria in procurement practices.

“These efforts are more than compliance with regulatory requirements; they represent dstelecom's solid commitment to creating sustainable value, not just for our shareholders, but for society as a whole,” Salgado said.

This certification is not just a recognition of good practices, but an incentive to continue working on implementing innovative and responsible solutions. We will continue to invest in partnerships that share the same values, creating a network of suppliers and workers who contribute to a more sustainable and ethical business ecosystem.

It should be remembered that, for two consecutive years, dstelecom has been in the top 5 of the GRESB Infrastructure Asset Benchmark Report 2024 ranking, thus reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the sector.
