Training: dstelecom advanced telecommunications course has already started

The Professional Higher Technical course in Network Management and Advanced Telecommunications that dstelecom will promote at the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave (IPCA), in Braga, has already started. Between yesterday and today, around 40 students visited dstelecom's facilities to attend the welcome session.

In addition to witnessing some presentations about the telecommunications business, the trainees were able to participate in a workshop led by dstelecom workers, where they had the opportunity to get in touch with optical fiber for the first time.

The session ended at the Network Operations Center (NOC), where students were able to learn about the network architecture and understand, in detail, how dstelecom's digital highway is supervised, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Remember that this course, lasting two years, will be taught by IPCA teachers and specialized workers from dstelecom. The last semester will be dedicated to a curricular internship, guaranteed by the company for all students.

At the end, graduates will receive a higher professional technician diploma equivalent to level 5 of the National Qualification Framework and will be able to design, install, optimize, configure and manage network infrastructures, manage servers and Internet services, install, configure and carry out maintenance of computer systems, install and check cabling infrastructures for networks and optimize the performance of network infrastructures.

Furthermore, they will be able to draw up a security plan for data communications infrastructures, manage domestic, urban, fiber and WIFI networks, as well as plan, install, configure and define maintenance plans for network equipment.
